Biography
Arnold Fang is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with interests in the political economy of world food production and trade.
He works closely with Dr Mehroosh Tak to coordinate the Critical Research on Industrial Livestock Systems (CRILS) Network www.crils.org, bringing together academia and civil society to advocate for just and sustainable food systems, especially in the Global South.
Arnold holds a PhD in International Relations, as well as master’s degrees in environmental health and development management. Before joining SOAS, he taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. He was also East Asia Researcher at Amnesty International from 2014 to 2021, investigating human rights developments in Japan, the Koreas and Mongolia, and engaging in advocacy at both national and international levels.
