Biography
Dr Diana Barrowclough is a Research Professor of Financing Sustainable Development at the SOAS Centre for Sustainable Finance.
She previously served as a Senior Economist in the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), specifically within the Division on Globalization and Development Strategies. At UNCTAD, she managed research on international finance, development, South-South integration, structural transformation, and development.
She was a contributing author to the flagship UN Trade and Development Report and has published books and articles on topics like public banks and their purpose, development finance, green industrial and financial policies, South-South development, and the transition away from fossil-fuel dependency. Before joining the UN, she lectured economics at the University of Cambridge, where she was a Fellow of St John's College.
