Biography
Dr Emily Shovelton is a specialist in art from the Islamic world, with a particular interest in Persian manuscripts and Persianate culture in India.
She has tutored for the Islamic module of the V&A Museum’s Asian Art diploma, and lectured for a number of other courses. She is currently a Research Associate in the Khalili Research Centre at the University of Oxford.
Her current project is on illustrated manuscripts from the Indian Sultanates.
