Biography

Enrico Pulieri is an economist, currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Economics at SOAS – University of London.

He works as Research Assistant at the Economics Department of SOAS for Prof. Jan Toporowski and at King’s College London in the Department of European and International Studies. He is teacher of Macroeconomic Analysis and International Economics. Enrico is Youth Policy Maker for the Italian Government as a Board Member of the Italian Youth Council acting as delegate for University and Research.

Enrico's main areas of interest are Public Finance and Public Debt Management, Financial and Monetary Macroeconomics, International Economics, and History of Economic Thought. His research is focused on the fiscal and monetary policies related to the Public Debt Management sustainability in the UK, the European Monetary Union and Japan. His PhD thesis represents a theoretical and empirical attempt to design and test an original growth-oriented fiscal policy framework combining the theories of Toporowski, Kalecki and Keynes.

He is member of the Japan Economy Network (JEN) and the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI, of INET).
