About this event
This webinar introduces prospective students to the MA programmes offered by the SOAS Department of Anthropology and Sociology.
It will begin with a brief overview of anthropology as a discipline and the department’s research strengths at SOAS, including its strong regional focus and engagement with global social challenges.
The session will then outline the department’s MA programmes, including Social Anthropology, Medical Anthropology and Mental Health, Migration and Diasporas, Anthropology of Food, and Futures and Sustainability, highlighting their distinctive themes and approaches.
The webinar will also explore career pathways for anthropology graduates and the transferable skills developed through anthropological training. Plenty of time will be set aside for questions.
At the end of the webinar, you will also have the chance to ask any questions you may have.
We are running two sessions of the webinar, in the morning at 10:00am (UK time) and then later in the afternoon at 5:00pm (UK time). Please book for the session that's most convenient for you.
