About this event
The collective group brings together musicians from the Uzbek and Uyghur regions, drawing from the musical and poetic connections that were hidden by the forces of 20th-century nationalism.
The collaborative effort is produced by Nava Arts and supported by the London-based research project, Maqām Beyond Nation.
SOAS Concert Series
The SOAS Concert Series has returned with events for the first semester of the 2026/27 academic year.
As it continues to showcase and platform music from around the world, the series welcomes a range of artists that are both local to London and from around the world, incuding the Central Asian regions of Uzbek and Uyghur, Bangladesh, South America, Georgia, and beyond.
