In an era of shifting global uncertainties and dynamics, Chinese firms are navigating unprecedented challenges and opportunities in their internationalisation endeavors.
Professor Ziliang Deng will address emerging trends such as decoupling and friendshoring and their implications for China's firms, based on his interviews, case analyses, and recent studies. He will suggest research opportunities, such as analysing adaptive strategies for geopolitical tensions.
By bridging theory and practice, this talk aims to inspire scholarly inquiry into the evolving pathways of Chinese firms in geopolitics.

About the speaker
Ziliang Deng is a professor at the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development, National School of Development, Peking University, and Vice President of the Asia Academy of Management. He previously taught at Renmin University of China and was a visiting scholar at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. His research examines firm internationalisation in complex institutional environments. He has published in leading journals and serves on editorial boards and in senior editorial roles, including associate and senior editor positions.
