MA Global Journalism - Truth to Power

Get an inside look at how the MA Global Journalism combines hands‑on practice with critical reflection to help students develop a confident, impactful journalistic voice.

In this session, you’ll hear from current students and staff as they introduce the Truth2Power Substack — a global news platform created within the programme. They’ll share:

• How the platform was built and the stories it amplifies
• Examples of student work and the real‑world impact it’s already making
• Insights into the programme’s “learning through doing” ethos
• Personal experiences of finding a journalistic voice on a global stage

The session offers a genuine window into what it means to study journalism at SOAS, creative, critical, and deeply connected to the world.

At the end of the webinar, you will also have the chance to ask any questions you may have.

We are running two sessions of the webinar, in the morning at 10:00am (UK time) and then later in the afternoon at 5:00pm (UK time). Please book for the session that's most convenient for you.
