SADRC is pleased to welcome Dr Yidana and Dr Izac-Hasan on the topic of "Mediating Chieftaincy Conflicts in Africa".
At this webinar, Dr Yidana and Dr Izac-Hasan will examine the efficacy of customary mediation processes for resolving chieftaincy disputes, using the Bawku chieftaincy conflict in Ghana as an example.
About the speakers
Dr Nuhu Yidana is a Lecturer in Law at the School of Law, SOAS University of London, with a keen research focus on the intersections of Consumer Law, Commercial Law, Contract Law, and Dispute Settlement.
Dr Elizabeth Izac-Hassan, a scholar of ADR and human rights, teaches law at SOAS University of London and the University of Roehampton.
