About this event

Food, music, cultural exchange and more at the launch of the Black African Diaspora Society.

Join us for a powerful evening that celebrates the beauty, creativity, and unity of the Black African and Caribbean diaspora. This free event is open exclusively to people of the Black African and Caribbean heritage for a chance to connect, be seen, and be celebrated through shared culture, music, and food.

Experience an unforgettable atmosphere featuring live performances, soul-stirring poetry, and inspiring speakers, all honouring our heritage and community. Enjoy authentic Jamaican cuisine, and it is encouraged to come dressed in your cultural attire to embrace the richness of our diverse traditions.

This event marks the beginning of the launch of our upcoming Black African Diaspora Society, dedicated to building connection and pride while supporting future fundraising initiatives for Black British organisations and groups across the African continent.

Our mission
  • Educate: share knowledge and opportunities within our community.
  • Empower: encourage students to take the lead in creating change and supporting Black causes.
  • Embrace: foster unity by bringing together people from across the Diaspora and the Continent.

Come celebrate with us, network, and help plant the seeds for a vibrant new society at the heart of our campus community.
