Biography
Dr Gerard Gunning lectures on a world literature module at SOAS and contributes to teaching on IFCELS' media studies modules as well as a range of EAP modules taught at IFCELS and at other departments.
His research and teaching interests include contemporary literature with a particular interest in contemporary poetics; American Studies; African American Studies; Diaspora Studies and Visual Cultures. Previously he was employed at the University of Sussex where he was a lecturer in American Studies, contributing to a dynamic and wide ranging interdisciplinary programme.
