Biography
Dr Heba Younis is Assistant Professor in Management and programme convener of the MSc International Business Management (Distance Learning) at SOAS University of London.
Heba holds a PhD in International Entrepreneurship and Strategy from Oxford Brookes University and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. With over 20 years of experience spanning higher education, research, international business, and investment banking, she has held academic leadership positions at SOAS University, Northumbria University-Qatar, London South Bank University and Qatar University.
Her teaching expertise covers strategy, international business, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, project management, and research methods. She has extensive experience in programme leadership, curriculum development, quality assurance, transnational education, doctoral supervision, and enterprise education.
Dr Younis’s research focuses on international entrepreneurship, SME internationalisation, workforce nationalisation, entrepreneurship ecosystems, and responsible business. She has published in leading international journals including the Journal of Business Research, International Business Review, Journal of International Management, and Human Resource Development International.
Her knowledge exchange activities are extensive and include leading university-business engagement initiatives, establishing enterprise and incubation programmes, delivering consultancy support to SMEs, securing competitive research and educational grants, and developing international partnerships across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. She has also served as an external examiner for several UK universities and is Associate Editor of Management and Sustainability: An Arab Review.
