Professor Jonathan Pincus

Jonathan Pincus is a development economist with expertise in Southeast Asia. He held a position as a lecturer in economics at SOAS University of London and has since held various academic and professional roles with international organizations, independent research centres, and private foundations. He served two terms as dean of the Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management at Fulbright University Vietnam. Throughout his career he has actively promoted the expansion of policy education and policy dialogue in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Myanmar. His research interests encompass the political economy of development, agricultural policy, rural poverty, and the impact of climate change on rural communities.
