Professor Ashley Thompson invited to BBC Radio 4 Sunday programme

Professor Thompson was invited to explain the role of ancient temples in the current Thai-Cambodian border conflict.

Military conflict between Thailand and Cambodia has erupted twice in 2025, with the most recent December fighting seeing no end in sight. Centering on demarcation of the border between the two countries, the conflict tends to flare around ancient temple sites. William Crawley of BBC 4's Sunday programme asked Professor Thompson what temples have to do with it.
