Welcoming the Postgraduate Diploma in Museum Studies Students to SOAS

We’re pleased to welcome the students of the Joint Postgraduate Diploma in Museum Studies to SOAS University of London. 

After completing their first two modules at Effat University in Jeddah, the group has now joined us in London to continue their academic and professional development.

Generously sponsored by the Saudi Museums Commission, these students are participating in a full programme of lectures, museum visits, and hands-on workshops. Over the next few weeks, they’ll be engaging with leading museum professionals and institutions across London, exploring how museums operate and shape heritage narratives, and how collections are curated and interpreted.

This postgraduate diploma combines theoretical foundations with practical training in Museum Studies. The London module is designed to offer an immersive learning journey, preparing students to take an active role in the future of museums and heritage both in Saudi Arabia and beyond. We’re excited to have them with us and look forward to the contributions they will bring to the sector.
