Biography
Tahsin Ozalan is a PhD Researcher in the Department of Finance and Management at SOAS University of London. His doctoral research examines the adoption and implementation of the IFRS Sustainability Reporting Standards, exploring the practical challenges, opportunities and implications of these frameworks for reporting quality, organisational practices and stakeholder engagement.
Tahsin is an ACCA Affiliate Member with an MBA and a BSc in Applied Accounting, and he is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). He brings extensive academic experience as an Associate Professor and Programme Director in Accounting and Finance, having led curriculum design, programme development, accreditation processes and external examining across UK higher education.
He has taught widely across financial accounting, managerial accounting, audit and financial management, with a strong commitment to applied learning and professional relevance. His broader research interests include sustainability reporting, ESG disclosure, corporate accountability and sustainability assurance.
