Biography
Wan Liu is a PhD student at the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics, SOAS University of London, focusing on Middle Eastern Studies and China–Iran relations. Her research examines China–Iran relations through theories of deep pluralism, discourse, and identity in international politics.
She holds a Master’s degree in Iranian Studies from Iran and a Bachelor’s degree in Persian Language from China. Alongside her academic studies, Wan has experience in teaching Persian language and culture and coordinating international projects. She has also worked extensively as a Chinese-Persian interpreter, supporting cross-cultural communication in academic and professional settings. Fluent in Chinese, Persian, and English, she brings a quiet dedication and curiosity to her work, exploring connections between cultures while appreciating the nuances of language and human interaction.
