Biography

Amber Lakhani has practiced law for twelve years in Karachi, Pakistan, in a broad range of areas including constitutional, contract, corporate, environmental, property, taxation, civil rights and family law. She obtained her LLB (Hons) Degree from the University of London and her LLM (in Jurisprudence and Legal Theory) from University College London. Amber has previously served as a consultant to the Attorney General of Pakistan and is a founding/board member of the Women Lawyers Association based in Karachi. In addition to her ongoing doctoral research work at SOAS, Amber has been conducting tutorials in Criminal Law as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at SOAS since 2022
