Wood Green Hall

Wood Green Hall in North London is more than just a place to sleep – it is a dedicated SOAS community where you live, study and socialise with fellow SOAS University of London students in a supportive, close‑knit environment.

With 165 SOAS students under one roof, you will be surrounded by course mates and peers who share your interests, creating a genuine sense of belonging and SOAS community from day one.  

Fully furnished single rooms, all bills and Wi‑Fi included, and secure shared bathrooms help you settle quickly and focus on your studies, while 24‑hour security and on‑site storage give you peace of mind. 

Just a short walk from Wood Green station, which is only around 19 minutes away on the Piccadilly line, giving you a fast, direct route straight to the SOAS campus while letting you experience life in a vibrant North London neighbourhood. The local area is lively and multicultural, with restaurants, bars, shops and cinemas on your doorstep, and easy access across East, West and Central London. The halls have, shared kitchens, a large common room and a garden provide relaxed social spaces where you can revise together, unwind after lectures or join organised events – making it easy to build friendships and feel at home in the SOAS community.

Building works

During the summers of 2026 and 2027 building improvement works will be carried out. The local team will be doing all they can to minimise disruption. Works will only take place between 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Wood Green Hall team are on site and on hand 24/7 to support you, and will keep you updated about the works.

Tenancy start date is 13 September 2026 to 20 June 2027 (40 weeks) or 13 September 2026 to 5 September 2027 (51 weeks). The number of 40 week tenancies are limited so register you interest early!

Wood Green is 19 minutes on the Picadilly line to Russell Square, with short walks at both ends.

We are on a refurbishment programme in the summer months of July to September in 2026 to 2028, improving bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and corridors.

A limited number of single rooms in 4-person cluster flats offers a low sharing ration for kitchen and bathroom. A guarantor is required along with a £250 deposit payment at the time of booking.
