SOAS Clearing 2026

Clearing is your opportunity to explore options one final time before September, whether you’re applying to university for the first time or have already applied elsewhere. 

You can use Clearing if you: 

• have offers but you’ve changed your mind about what or where you want to study
• didn’t get the results you were expecting on A-Level results day and haven't met the conditions of your offers
• didn’t receive any offers (or any you wanted to accept)
• are applying to university after 30 June 2026

For those applying through clearing, accommodation is guaranteed if you accept your offer and apply for accommodation by Thursday 20 August. You can still apply after this date, with rooms allocated on a first come, first served basis. 

We will not accept applications that are referred to us through UCAS without a clearing application being made via our form or by phone. If successfully offered a place, Clearing applicants must submit a formal application through UCAS.

We can only consider one clearing application from each applicant. In the event multiple applications are submitted by the same applicant, these will be marked as duplicate applications and no action on these will be taken.

Conditional offers

We cannot make conditional Clearing offers. Applicants must meet both the school’s English language requirements and academic entry requirements in order for an offer to be extended.

Contextual offers

We cannot make contextual offers when an applicant is applying through Clearing.

Deferral requests

Clearing offers are not eligible for deferral. Deferral requests from clearing applicants will not be approved.

We may contact you via email, phone or messaging services such as WhatsApp with important updates about your offer, including reminders about deadlines and next steps.
