Scholarship overview
SOAS will be awarding 10 Home Academic Excellence Scholarships worth various amounts to students from around the UK.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the award, you must:
- Have applied for a postgraduate degree for September 2026 (the scholarship selection panel will only be able to award a scholarship to those applicants who have received an offer to study with SOAS).
- Be a Home/UK fee-paying student.
- Possess or expect to be awarded a first class honours degree from a UK university or international equivalent. Applicants with a non-UK degree must be in the top rank as evidenced by references and transcripts. Applicants with a 2.1 may also apply but will not be given preference.
Notification of results
Successful applicants with an offer to study at SOAS will be notified by the end of July 2026.
How to apply
Step one

Step two
Apply for the scholarship by 12 noon (UK local time) on 29 May 2026. You must apply for this scholarship via the admissions portal. You will need to have applied for a course to get login credentials for this.
