Overview

SOAS students experiencing financial difficulties can apply for a grant to help with the cost of living or childcare.

SOAS Hardship Funds are designed to provide short-term financial assistance for temporary hardship. We have a range of funds that support SOAS students in different situations. The SOAS Hardship Fund cannot help with paying tuition fees.

SOAS Student Advice Service provide free, confidential advice about issues relating to UK Student Finance loans, financial hardship, budgeting, welfare benefits and other financial matters. Contact them if you need advice about your circumstances.
