Enabling sustainability leaders
Our vision is to equip students with the skills and knowledge to help build a sustainable and equitable future.
Through accessible and empowering education, we support students to contribute actively to a fair and just planetary community. We will do this by:
- Embedding Education for Sustainable Development across the curriculum
- Ensuring all teaching staff are trained in Education for Sustainable Development
- Mapping, reviewing and tracking Education for Sustainable Development across all modules and programmes
- Expanding access to higher education through distance learning.
Graduate attributes
Our graduates are global citizens, progressive innovators and agile learners. The SOAS Graduate Attributes set out the skills our students acquire from our degree programmes to become the change makers of tomorrow.
Sustainability Toolkit
The SOAS Education for Sustainability Appraisal Toolkit is designed help academic staff incorporate critical thought about sustainability and climate change into their approach to teaching.
