SOAS–University of Bergen Dual LLM Programme
SOAS is proud to partner with the University of Bergen to offer an established pathway for Master’s degree in Law students seeking an international postgraduate experience in London.
Through this partnership, eligible University of Bergen law students can undertake a 1-year SOAS LLM programme in place of the fifth year of Bergen’s 5-year Master’s degree in Law. Upon successful completion, students graduate with two qualifications: the Master’s degree in Law from the University of Bergen and a Master of Laws (LLM) from SOAS University of London.
Partnership programme
The partnership enables University of Bergen Master’s degree in Law students to pursue a specialised SOAS LLM that reflects their academic interests and career aspirations, while completing their law studies in an internationally renowned academic environment.
Eligible students may choose from a range of SOAS LLM programmes, including:
- LLM (Master of Laws)
- LLM Environmental Law and Sustainable Development
- LLM Human Rights, Conflict and Justice
- LLM International Commercial and Economic Law
- LLM International Law
- LLM Islamic Law
- LLM Law and Gender
Students joining SOAS through the University of Bergen LLM partnership benefit from a reduced tuition fee, with a discount applied to the standard international tuition fee rate.
To be eligible, students should be current Master’s degree in Law students at University of Bergen maintaining an average grade of B or strong C and should have obtained 4.0 in the English component of the Norwegian Vitnemal diploma.
