About this event

The event celebrates the publication of the facsimile edition of the oldest surviving Pahlavi manuscript, the codex MK, copied by the priest Mehrabān Kayhusraw in 1322 CE.

The edition was prepared by the later Dastur Kaikhusrow M. Jamaspasa, to whom the original manuscript belongs, and Professor Almut Hintze. On the evening, Professor Hintze will present the manuscript and talk about its history, its rediscovery and restoration, its contents and significance.

Reception to follow.
