The Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy is delighted to welcome Her Excellency Ms Macenje 'Che Che' Mazoka, High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia to the United Kingdom, for a Speaker Series conversation on contemporary diplomacy.
This event offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from a senior African diplomat about the realities of diplomatic life today, both in general and in the context of working in London as a major global diplomatic hub.
The discussion will explore:
- How governments prioritise and deploy their diplomatic assets.
- The key issues and responsibilities that shape the work of a High Commissioner.
- Diplomatic practice and policy priorities in a global city such as London.
- H.E. Mazoka’s personal career journey, including how she became a diplomat, what drew her to the profession, and the experiences that have shaped her path.
