About this event

The summer of 2026 was the hottest ever on record for Western Europe, in May it was clear that we will live through a super El Nino this year and in September the United Nations Environment Programme underlined that breaching the 1.5°C threshold established at the Paris Climate Conference is now unavoidable.

Against this backdrop, when it comes to managing the risk of climate change and disasters there is little doubt that that the time for business as usual is well and truly over. We need to question existing assumptions that underpin risk management approaches.

In this discussion on the 'Frontiers for Climate Risk Management', Aditya will present his thoughts on a transformed risk future and its implications.
