About this event

A Night for Venezuela is a fundraising evening at SOAS Student Bar, bringing together music, food, art and community in support of Venezuela earthquake relief.

Following the devastating double earthquake of 24 June, around 1.8 million people in Venezuela are in need of humanitarian aid. While international attention has already started to move elsewhere, communities on the ground are still trying to find loved ones, access clean water, obtain medicine and rebuild lives changed in seconds.

This event brings together Venezuelan and Latin American artists, musicians, journalists and friends of Venezuela for an evening of solidarity at SOAS. The night will include live music, DJ sets, Venezuelan food, a collective banner-making activity with corn, and a raffle with donated prizes including artwork, dinners, experiences and more.

The line-up includes Luzmira Zerpa, Orquesta Estelar, Pablo Barrios, Ernesto Marichales, Henry Bravo, Pao Pestana, Joseph Costi, Chebeto and Elizabeth Nott.

Food is included in the ticket price. All proceeds will go to Venezuela earthquake relief via Healing Venezuela, a UK-registered NGO.

Join us for an evening that is joyful, creative and urgent: a space to come together, celebrate Venezuelan culture and raise vital funds for people who need support now.

Your ticket includes a traditional Venezuelan dish and a drink.
