About this event
As countries, corporations and investors across the world adopt energy transition-related plans and policies in line with the Paris Agreement, disputes relating to the design, financing and implementation of transition-related projects are on the increase, especially in the face of increased demand for energy transition minerals.
This session explores recent trends on energy, mining and low carbon transition-related disputes, and the role of arbitration as a mechanism for the fair, timely and effective resolution of such disputes.
Discussions will cover the latest developments in arbitration laws, regulations, contractual provisions, and dispute resolution technologies and their effective application in the resolution of energy transition and mining disputes. The speakers will also explore the application of international law instruments, especially the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, in arbitration and ADR contexts.
