Dr.Bishara wll reflect on why he wrote the book and challenge of writing a book about a war while it was still raging, and of drawing dramatic and controversial conclusions from its first dozen days, when the fighting had only just begun.
He will discuss what shocked him most? Why did he hope his thesis would prove wrong? Why does he now believe the book’s title needs to be updated? What sets his book apart from the many others covering the Gaza war?
Dr. Bishara will also discuss his experience as a journalist covering a war in which many of his colleagues and fellow Palestinian journalists were killed.
