About this event

The Zoroastrian World presents a global guide to Zoroastrianism from the earliest period to the modern day, offering original perspectives through substantial thematic contributions on the lived experience of Zoroastrian communities worldwide.

This event will celebrate the launching of the book together with a brief introduction from the three co-editors together with short presentations from some of the many contributors from different regions of the world. This event will be followed by a Q&A and light reception.

About the speakers

Sarah Stewart, Albert de Jong, and Jenny Rose (left to right).

After a brief introduction from the book's three co-editors, Jenny Rose, Sarah Stewart and Albert de Jong, several of the contributors will discuss their contributions to the volume. Their talks will span a wide range of topics, from the artist behind the book's cover and perceptions of Zoroastrianism in the ancient world, to the challenges facing Zoroastrian communities today in Iran, India and the wider diaspora, concluding with a spotlight on the history of Parsi cricket.
