SOAS is 2nd in UK for International Faculty
SOAS University of London’s global appeal and student diversity continues to be recognised in the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026.
Among the 129 UK institutions included in the European rankings, SOAS has excelled in several key areas holding 2nd for International Faculty in the UK. This standout category underpins SOAS’s ability to attract top-tier academic talent from around the world, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment.
SOAS also continues to demonstrate strength in its commitment to student mobility, ranking 4th for outbound exchange students and 16th for inbound exchange students. For international student diversity, SOAS is 19th in the UK, and 34th in Europe – reflecting the institution’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence, providing diverse experiences to students in the UK and internationally.
This underpins SOAS’s ability to attract top-tier academic talent from around the world, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment.
These latest results follow SOAS’s recent rankings in the the global top 100 for Arts and Humanities in the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject. This places the university in the UK’s top 20. Social Sciences also ranked highly among the global top 150 and the UK’s top 25.
