SOAS named finalist for lecturers and teaching quality in Whatuni Student Choice Awards
SOAS University of London has been shortlisted in the 'Lecturers and Teaching Quality' category for this year’s 2026 Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs).
The annual awards, decided exclusively by over 42,000 active students across the country, spotlight outstanding institution. The lecturers and teaching quality category highlight the university’s positive impacts in the overall learning experience.
This follows positive news of SOAS’s performance in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 with four of its subjects ranked in the global top 25 and 13 in the global top 100.

Categories for the Whatuni award include facilities, career prospects, student unions, student life, and student support. SOAS has joined the shortlist for the 'Lecturers and Teaching Quality' award, reflection of its dedicated academic faculties.
Speaking on the shortlisting, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost Professor Joanna Newman MBE, FRSA added:

The results of the Whatuni Student Choice Awards will be announced next month on 21 May 2026.
