SOAS rated silver in the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework

SOAS has maintained an overall Silver “very high quality” rating, receiving a Bronze for Student experience and Silver for student outcomes in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

The TEF is a national scheme run by the Office for Students (OfS) that aims to encourage higher education providers to improve and deliver excellence in the areas that students care about the most: teaching, learning and achieving positive outcomes from their studies.

The ratings reflect the extent to which a university or college delivers excellent experience and outcomes for undergraduate students.

SOAS Provost Professor Joanna Newman MBE FRSA said: “We are very pleased to see our overall Silver rating maintained in the TEF. It is testament to our commitment to deliver an experience that supports excellent educational and personal development outcomes for all individuals in our diverse student community.”

The outcomes from TEF 2023 were released on 28 September and will last for 4-years.
