SOAS statement on Manchester Synagogue terrorist attack
We are shocked and extremely saddened to hear of the terrorist attack at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Greater Manchester today. Violence and antisemitism have no place in our society.
As the Jewish community marked Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, we offer our deepest and sincerest condolences to those directly impacted by this abhorrent attack and stand in solidarity with the Jewish community.
We are proud of our diverse community at SOAS and are committed to tackling rising hatred, division and antisemitism.
