The library is closed on bank holidays as well as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Sometimes, we are open outside of the school closure dates; please get in touch if you're unsure or would like further information.

The gallery is closed on bank holidays as well as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The gallery is also closed during exhibition changeovers.

School closure dates

Only Library members who have their ID card can access the SOAS Library on 24, 27, 28, 30, and 31 December and 2, 3, and 4 January. Please get in touch if you're unsure about closure dates or would like further information. Opening times during the closure period are as follows:

Staff availability

Staff are available to help from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. You can find them roaming the building or at the service desk on the ground floor.
