Mayukh Chakrabarty Mayukh is a Felix Scholar and doctoral researcher at SOAS, University of London, exploring how life insurance transformed Indian society from 1800 to 2000. His PhD project, titled "Cashing Lives: A History of Indian Life Insurance (1800–2000)," offers a comprehensive institutional history of life insurance in India, tracing its evolution from a colonial financial instrument to a post-independence state monopoly.
Professor Mahinda Deegalle Mahinda Deegalle is a Professorial Research Associate at SOAS University of London, and Professor Emeritus in the Study of Religions, Philosophies, and Ethics at Bath Spa University. He was also a Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge.
Shengnan Dong Shengnan Dong is a PhD candidate in the Department of History of Art and Archaeology at SOAS University of London. Her research focuses on Buddhist art, architecture, and visual culture in Tibet from the 10th to 15th centuries. Her current project examines a fifteenth-century chorten (stupa) at Chung Riwoche in Central Tibet.
