SOAS University of London will award honorary degrees to four distinguished individuals at graduation ceremonies taking place next week.

Rebecca Ruth Gould, currently Professor, Islamic World and Comparative Literature, at the University of Birmingham, will join SOAS University of London as a Distinguished Research Professor of Comparative Poetics and Global Politics  in the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics

SOAS University of London Stephen Chan, Professor of World Politics, was refused entry into Zimbabwe on 21 August, two days before the Zimbabwean elections, which are surrounded by controversy. SOAS fully condemns this decision.
