Liu Congyao’s is a PhD Candidate within the Department of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics. Her research interests focus on critical discourse analysis, discourse analysis, Covid-19 discourse, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics.

Students from SOAS University of London have curated an exhibition as part of their master's program, showcasing contemporary art from the Arab world. The exhibition, titled "Hudood: Redefining Boundaries" will open at the SOAS Gallery from 1 July to 21 September 2024.
