Note: All courses are full time with 18-20 hours of classes per week. Students can only choose one course per block.
2023 Fees
Tuition fees
- 3 weeks (1 block): £1,900
- 6 weeks (2 blocks): £3,500 (save £300*)
- 9 weeks (3 blocks): £5,100 (save £600*)
*Compared to the cost of multiple individual blocks. The reduced fees for multiple blocks above are available for 2 or 3 blocks booked at the same time. The fee for any additional blocks booked after the initial application will be £1,900 for one extra block and £3,500 for two.
Accommodation
Students can book self-catering halls of residence accommodation at Dinwiddy House, which is used by SOAS students throughout the year and is a 15-minute walk from the Russell Square campus. Accommodation can be booked directly through the halls of residence. Information about booking accommodation and a discount code is included in our offer letters. Please book accommodation only when you are sure that you will attend the summer programme. Accommodation fees are only refunded in exceptional circumstances (eg, serious delays in obtaining a visa). Any requests for a refund of accommodation fees should be made directly to the accommodation provider.
Here are indicative accommodation fees for different lengths of study:
- 3 weeks (one block) - £940
- 6 weeks (two blocks) - £1,927
- 9 weeks (three blocks) - £2,914
Each accommodation period assumes that students arrive the day before and leave the day after the study period. Further accommodation can be booked, if available, at £47 per night.
These rates are available provided that a booking for accommodation is made by the deadline dates stated below:
- Block 1 - 19 June 2023 deadline
- Block 2 - 10 July 2023 deadline
- Block 3 - 31 August 2023 deadline
We cannot guarantee that accommodation will be available at these rates after the stated deadlines.
We recommend that you submit an application for the international summer programme as early as possible, especially if you want accommodation in the SOAS Halls of Residence. Students will book accommodation directly with the halls of residence. They will be provided with booking information and a code to use in order to receive the discounted rate.
