Scholarship overview

The SOAS New Programme Scholarships (International) are designed to recognise and award overseas applicants with outstanding academic performance.

SOAS is offering over up to 15 fee waivers valued at £10,000 for applicants on the following new master’s programmes launching in September 2026:

Eligibility

You must hold an offer for full-time study on one of the new Postgraduate programmes listed above.
You must be an overseas fee-paying student.
You must have a UK upper second-class (2:1) or international equivalent.

Notification of results

Applicants will be notified of the outcome by the end of July 2026.

How to apply

Step one

Apply for a SOAS Masters programme and receive an offer.

Step two

After you have received an offer for a SOAS Masters programme, you can apply for this scholarship.

The application form will open in February 2026. More details will be added here in January 2026.

Applications will close at 12 noon (UK local time) on 29 May 2026.

Important Information

You can apply for multiple scholarships and discounts, but only one can be accepted and applied to your tuition fees. Scholarships and discounts (e.g. alumni, family, or partnership discount) cannot be combined, so if you’re successful in more than one, you will need to choose the option with the highest value.
