Scholarship overview

The SOAS New Programme Scholarships (International) are designed to recognise and award overseas applicants with outstanding academic performance.

SOAS is offering over up to 15 fee waivers valued at £10,000 for applicants on the select new masters programmes launching in September 2026.

Eligible programmes

The following masters programmes are eligible for this scholarship:

Candidate criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:

Be an overseas fee-paying student.
Have a UK 2:1 or international equivalent.
Hold an offer for full-time study on one of the new postgraduate programmes listed above.

How to apply

Step one

Apply for a SOAS masters programme and receive an offer.

Step two

After you have received an offer for a SOAS masters programme, you can apply for this scholarship.

Applications will close at 12 noon (UK local time) on 12 June 2026.

Notification of results

Applicants will be notified of the outcome by the end of July 2026.

Applying to multiple scholarships

You can apply for multiple scholarships and discounts, but can only accept and apply one to your tuition fees. You cannot combine scholarships and discounts (e.g., alumni, family, or partnership discount), so if you’re successful in more than one, you will need to choose the option with the highest value.
