About this event
The next set of SOAS University of London graduation ceremonies will take place on 8-10 September 2026 at Friends House, Euston, London.
If eligible to attend, you will receive an email invite to one of these dates and times with further details on how to register in mid-July 2026.
Graduation invites will be sent to both students’ personal and SOAS email address so do ensure we have an up-to-date email address for you. If your contact details are incorrect, please update them via the Online Student Services Portal.
Please do not book travel/accommodation until you receive your official email invitation.
Order of ceremonies
Full details of the order of ceremonies will be provided in due course.
Eligibility to attend
The graduation ceremonies taking place in September 2026 are for:
- Undergraduate students who will complete their studies and are awarded by 31 July 2026.
- Postgraduate students who completed their degrees and were awarded in November 2025 and January 2026.
- PhD students who complete and are awarded by 20 July 2026.
- ODL students who complete and are awarded by 31 July 2026.
- Students with a deferred dissertation from the December 2025 exam board.
If you have late summer resits in 2026, you will be eligible to attend the ceremonies in September 2027. For more information on eligibility please see our How to book page.
Tickets
You’ll be sent an invitation email inviting you to your graduation ceremony along with instructions on how to reserve your place and buy guest tickets. If you're graduating, your ticket is free and includes access to the post ceremony reception.
Tickets for guests are £35 each and include access to the post ceremony reception. Each graduand can purchase up to two guest tickets for family and friends who wish to attend the ceremony.
If you're unable to attend your ceremony after you registered you must cancel your gown and tickets on the Ede and Ravenscroft website before 19 August 2026 for a refund. Any cancellations received after this date will be non-refundable.
Livestream
The livestream of the ceremonies will be available so that friends and family who are unable to attend can join in the celebrations. It will be available approximately 5 minutes prior to the start of your ceremony.
