About this event

Join us for a thought‑provoking session exploring South Asian theatre as a site of resistance.

In this webinar we will look at South Asian theatre and dramatic texts as a site of resistance to the multiple intersecting hierarchies in South Asia, including caste, class, race, gender, and sexuality. This session is perfect for Postgraduate Taught students who want a deeper insight into the kind of critical and interdisciplinary work being done at SOAS.

This is a sample lecture designed to give participants an indication of the academic approaches explored at SOAS. The webinar will also introduce participants to the interdisciplinary MA in South Asian Studies, where students are able to take modules from across the university.

At the end of the webinar, you will also have the chance to ask any questions you may have.

This event is part of our SOAS student webinar series, designed to provide you with all the essential information about being a SOAS student in London. Join us to explore topics like how to apply, secure funding, find accommodation, and enjoy student life once you arrive.
