About the author
Dr Stephen Huyler has dedicated his life to exploring, documenting, and celebrating India's rich artistic and cultural traditions. For over 50 years, he has travelled extensively through Indian villages, combining his expertise as an art historian, cultural anthropologist, photographer, and author.
Dr Huyler has curated over twenty major exhibitions of Indian art, including solo shows at the Smithsonian Institution, the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, and the Kodak Center for Creative Imaging. His seven acclaimed books offer intimate insights into an India rarely seen even by its own citizens.
