About this event
This webinar offers an inspiring introduction to the full range of MSc programmes within the Development Studies Department at SOAS.
You’ll hear from our Convenor as we explore how studying global development helps us make sense of a rapidly changing world, from inequality and climate justice to migration, governance, and sustainable futures. You’ll also gain insight into how our programmes combine critical theory with real‑world application, preparing graduates to develop progressive, evidence‑based responses to complex global challenges.
In this session, you will:
- Learn about our MSc programmes and the different pathways available.
- Hear from academic Convenors about how development studies helps us understand global change.
- Explore how theory meets practice, with examples of how our teaching connects to real‑world issues.
- Discover career pathways in international organisations, NGOs, policy, research, and beyond.
- Ask your questions live and get guidance on choosing the right programme for your goals.
We are running two sessions of the webinar, in the morning at 10:00am (UK time) and then later in the afternoon at 5:00pm (UK time). Please book for the session that's most convenient for you.
