Dr Shreeta Lakhani

Dr. Shreeta Lakhani is a writer and educator at SOAS, University of London. Her work explores the connections between empire, capitalism, gender, race, and sexuality, and the ways these forces continue to shape contemporary life.
 

At SOAS, she teaches in the areas of gender studies and global politics. She convenes the online MA Gender, Sexuality and Global Politics, working with students around the world to examine urgent questions about power, inequality, resistance, and social change.

Her research and teaching are guided by an interest in how inequalities are reproduced, but also in how people challenge and resist them across different contexts. By linking historical and political analysis with everyday experience, she encourages students to think critically about the world around them and to consider possibilities for creating more just and inclusive futures
