Statement from our Multi-faith Chaplaincy team
Greetings on behalf of the Multi-faith Chaplaincy team.
As the Multi-faith Coordinator at SOAS, my primary responsibility is to support and nurture the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of our community. We are here to care for all students and staff, offering a space for reflection, guidance, and support throughout your time at SOAS. Our role is to provide comfort and care to everyone, regardless of faith or belief.
SOAS is a community where individuals from various faith traditions and belief systems come together in search of truth and spiritual understanding. The diversity of religious and spiritual expressions we encounter is a testament to the richness of our community. Whether you follow a specific faith or are exploring your spirituality, your path is both meaningful and valid.
As a Multi-faith Chaplaincy, we are committed to supporting everyone equally, whether you identify with a religious tradition or have no religious belief. We believe that each person is a unique and irreplaceable gift, worthy of respect and care.
Our purpose is to serve the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of all members of the SOAS community. We offer guidance, pastoral support, and a safe space to accompany you on your personal spiritual journey, wherever that may lead you.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time. We are here for you.
Best wishes,
Dr. Sachi Patel
Multi-faith Coordinator
