Dr Irene Gedalof Irene Gedalof’s research interests focus on intersectional feminist theory, especially in relation to the maternal and the reproductive, gender and migration, and gender, race and disability in contemporary social policy discourses. Her most recent publication is Narratives of Difference in an Age of Austerity (Palgrave, 2018). Her current research considers whiteness and the reproductive/maternal in UK migration policy discourses, particularly in relation to the ‘hostile environment.’
