Yasmine Hafez Yasmine Hafez is a PhD researcher whose work combines ethnography and archival research to examine the socio-environmental transformations of the Delta Lakes and Lake Victoria. Her project traces the colonial histories and neoliberal interventions that have shaped these water bodies, focusing on how these forces impact the everyday lives of fishermen amid escalating climate threats. Her research centers on environmental justice in the Arab world, with a particular emphasis on the politics of knowledge.
