SOAS Department of Economics launches new partnership-based MA-PhD full scholarship with ISRFS

SOAS Department of Economics is excited to announce the agreement of a new partnership between the Department and the Indonesia Scholarship and Research Support Foundation (ISRFS). The partnership will allow for four Indonesian students per year to embark on a 1 + 3 pathway, enrolling initially on the MA Economic Policy, to progress subsequently onto a three year PhD programme. Students will be selected by ISRFS. The programme aims to train Indonesian scholars to become specialists in Economics and Public Policy and, subsequently, to return to Indonesia to join ISRFS’ established Institutes for Advanced Research (IFAR). The initiative is part of the wider strategy by SOAS and the Department to strengthen ties with academic institutions and researchers globally drawing on its intellectual leaderships in political economy, development and real world economics, as well as its regional and global expertise. Colleagues across the two institutions are very excited about the prospects of this new partnership.
